Phenolic Resin tops are also a solid core material with similar characteristics as the Epoxy Resign and is a great choice for all high school science labs. The advantage of phenolic resign is while the top is a solid core, it doesn't weigh as much as the Epoxy tables particularly in the larger sizes, and the lower cost allows you to save money or purchase additional science tables or equipment. The Durasurf tables and Chemsurf tables are also great choices for all K-12 science labs. The Durasurf is a wood base core with powder coated Epoxy Resign applied to the core. Chemsurf is high pressure laminate with an added treatment for acid resistance. Our High Pressure science table tops are quality resin tops applied to a phenolic backing onto a wood base core. They are scratch and stain resistant. These tables make a great activity table in an art room or science room but not with heat and chemicals.
